Apologies for the long haitus, quite some time ago I had updated many areas of the game including a working automatic age reset script and had high hopes of rebooting the game, but had so many issues and troubles with uploading those changes to the server and just couldnt get the game to work. I eventually gave up and lost all motivation.
Results for last age?
Since there wasn't an "End of Age" date set or announced, the plan was to submit results based on a backup (everyones stats are recorded every 15 minutes) sometime back when the game was relatively active (like 3 months into the age), but unfortunetly the backing up was bugged and didnt work properly. Therefore the only results I have for last age are the exact stats when I reset the game 23rd of December 2024.
The new Age?
The game is still running on the original outdated code, with no resetting capabilities. However I have built a manual script for resetting the game, which means I can now reset the game at any time. So when the End of Age date is set for the new age, and the age ends, the database will be backed up and the game will be manually reset and the new age will start straight away. Offical results won't be published, however I would probably just release a snapshot of the "Top 50" page. The results will be stored, that way I can build a official results page in the future.
The time and date of the new Age will be announced soon.
Anything new or different?
The game is still running on the original outdated code, so nothing has changed or is different. The only exception is that the recruiter is disabled (and won't come back until I can move the game over to the new updated version).
Hopefully sometime in the near future I can find the motivation to finally get the updated version uploaded to the server and working, to reboot and start growing & improving the game.
Will there be any updates or changes?
For the time being, no!Not until I can get the new updated version uploaded and working on the server, when I do, it will be on a different URL.
Plans for the games future?
I built this game from scratch, however it is pretty much a simple clone of the game Kings Of Choas at the moment. SonicRage- and I have come up with a concept that will stear the game into a different direction making it more unique and into its own game. However until I can get the game updated and regain the motivation to work on the game, Legends of War will remain as it is, a simple KoC clone.
